This was a really unprofessional interview. The Director was super late for our call, like over 15 minutes. I also emailed Talent Acquisition about a week ago for an update on my interview and still haven't heard back. It's pretty standard to at least let candidates know if they're moving forward or not. Honestly, I'm not interested in a company that doesn't respect a candidate's time.

I went through two rounds of interviews. The second interview was mostly a formality because they had already decided they wanted me after the first one. The interview wasn't too tough, and once I built a rapport with the interviewer, things went really well. The hiring manager was super friendly, and even though the interview lasted a while (45 minutes to an hour), it didn't feel boring at all.

I applied online and the whole thing took about 2-3 weeks. First, I got an email from HR saying they got my application and wanted to do a phone interview. This 10-min call was about my past work and what I can do now. Then, HR sent me some Excel problems (VLookup, formulas, etc.) to fix and send back by the next day. They weren't too tough if you know Excel well, but the unclear directions made them a bit tricky. A few days after, HR emailed that I did well and the Media Director wanted to chat on the phone. I was supposed to have an in-person interview, but they must have changed their minds and wanted me to talk to the Director first. I was fine with that, and the phone call seemed to go well. We talked about my background, and they gave me some situations to see how I'd react. I got scheduled for an interview at their office the next week. When I got there, I was honestly not impressed. I get they're a startup, but the office looked rough, and it all seemed unprofessional. The three interviewers didn't seem to like me, I think. The interview was like 1.5-2 hours, and I left thinking this place is awful. I really need a job, so I might have said 'yes' if they offered, but I don't see this as a place to grow a career. On a side note, dealing with HR via email was unprofessional; I had to follow up to sort out times, dates, and other key details. The Media Director seemed really full of herself, spending a lot of time talking about her own career moves and making up the dumbest scenarios to judge your character. It also didn't help when she mentioned she couldn't recall our previous chat because she's interviewing so many people.
