First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TraPac.
Custodian
It was a quick, easy, and painless interview process. They asked the usual questions, but nothing I wasn't prepared for. The interviewers were awesome and it seems like a great place to work. They responded within a few days, though I don't recall the exact number of days.
- Could you describe your background and experience?
Team Lead
First, a head hunter reached out. Then, there was a phone screen. After that, I had an in-person interview, followed by another in-person interview with the VP. The technical questions about SQL and C# were pretty basic, which made me think the interviewer wasn't super knowledgeable.
- What's your approach to optimizing a query?
Operations Manager
First, I had a screening phone call with HR where they asked basic questions about my experience and qualifications. Then, there was a zoom interview with 2 senior ops managers. The last interview was in person with the vessel and yard directors. The interviews were spaced about 1 week to 1.5 weeks apart.
- Can you describe a situation where you had a disagreement with a coworker and explain how you resolved it?
Systems Monitoring Support
It was about a 30-minute interview with a panel of 3 interviewers. The interviewers were managers and engineers. They asked me traditional questions about myself and my resume. The interview concluded with a tour of the Austin Facility.
- What is your understanding of LEAN?
- Do you have experience with data relationships or SQL?
