Intern
I got this questionnaire from transunion about a month ago asking me to write why I wanted to intern there and why I thought I was a good fit. I thought of it as a phone screening and filled it out carefully. I got a confirmation for a phone interview the next week with the hiring manager. The first round was a 20 min phone interview with the hiring manager about my resume, the role, and requirements. The next week, I moved to the onsite interview. Since I wasn't in Chicago, they scheduled a Skype interview with two employees, about 30 mins each. This round had behavioral questions and a case question where I had to do basic calculations and talk through my thought process. The second case question was a bit tough because I didn't know about that department, but it's important to keep asking questions and ask for clarification if you don't know something.
- What is something on your resume that you are the most proud of?
- Describe a team experience and your role in it.
- Case study.
Intern
The interview itself was okay, I talked with three people and learned about their daily work. But the process afterward was super unprofessional, making me realize this company isn't for me. I was given three to four deadlines for when I'd hear back, and they kept delaying. I waited over three months for a response, which is really unprofessional, especially when other places offered me jobs just days after interviewing. If I hadn't been emailing HR for updates, I might have been ghosted like others have been. I wouldn't suggest wasting your time here!
- What's something you desire?
Intern
So the process starts with you sending in your application, then usually a quick screen, maybe a phone or video call. After that, they might give you some tests to see if you have the skills. Then you'll have interviews with the people you'd be working with. They do a few rounds to check if you fit in and if you know your stuff, plus how you solve problems. After all that, they might check your references and do a background check. If everything looks good, they'll make you an offer, and you might be able to talk about the salary and stuff.
- Can you share some information about yourself and explain your interest in this role?
