The hiring team was really nice, but it felt like they weren't sure what they truly needed for the Social Media Manager role. The job description had some expectations that seemed a bit out there, and then during the interviews, they talked about different things. The plan was for two interviews, but it ended up being four. I met more people from the team and even the CEO, who was pleasant but not someone I could see myself working with.

Got a call from the recruiter, then had several rounds: hiring manager, an online coding test, and then another technical manager round. Everything seemed good, but I never heard back. They should at least send an email about whether I got the job or not, especially since I spent so much time on the interviews.

You'll start with a recruiter chat, then talk to the hiring manager who'll check your technical chops, and finally meet the CTO. The rounds aren't super hard, but they're really selective about who they hire.

Confirmed questions1 question

I was waiting for the scheduled call, but it didn't happen, so I emailed them. About 5 minutes after my email, the call came in, but no explanation was given for the delay. The person on the other end sounded like they were still eating, and I could hear someone yelling in the background, which was distracting and unsettling. I was first asked what I knew about the company, and then they proceeded to tell me things I had already discovered through my own research. After that, I was asked if I had any questions, and I had quite a few because I was really interested. It was puzzling to me that I knew the upcoming ACS in 2022 would be fully virtual, and they seemed unaware. I wasn't asked any questions about my experience with software applications, my competencies related to the job description, or any behavioral questions. The questions were general, focusing on my overall training experience, my willingness to travel 25%, and my agreement to not take time off during July and August, which are the company's busiest months. They also inquired about my salary expectations. The interviewer lacked enthusiasm and seemed unmotivated. When I asked about the next steps, I was told a quick decision would be made and I'd hear back by the end of the day on Friday. Friday passed without any contact. I emailed them on Wednesday morning for an update, and I still haven't received any response. It felt like they were just going through the motions to meet a quota or tick a box, without any real interest in the hiring process.

  • What is your earliest possible start date?
  • Would you be able to work without taking vacation during July and August?
