A complete waste of time. When I finally got in touch, the interview invitation was vague, with no specific details about who I would meet or the format of the discussion. Once in the interview, you could feel a blatant lack of preparation: the questions were disjointed, sometimes irrelevant to the position, and the interviewers didn't really master the technical skills they were supposed to assess. It felt like they were conducting interviews somewhat randomly, just to check the box.

I went through the whole interview process for the Operations Manager role at Transdev and got to the final stage. I didn't get the job in the end, but it was cool to meet the team and learn about their work in autonomous vehicles and community transport. It's a bit of a mixed bag for me. Even though I was super qualified and went through a bunch of interviews, I can't shake the feeling that my race or sexual identity might have influenced the decision. It's tough to say for sure, but it's hard to ignore when you see how often underrepresented folks have a tougher time in hiring. Still, I'm thankful for the experience. It helped me grow, get better at showing my value, and see how Transdev is changing transportation. I hope the industry keeps getting better at making sure diverse people feel not just welcome, but actually valued.

So there are a few steps to this company's hiring. You start with a quick chat, then do a multi-part video thing where they want your feedback. After that, it went quiet for like a month, then bam, they offered me the initial Autonomous Operator job. If you do well and they need people, you can apply internally for the Senior Tester role. Getting that offer depends a lot on showing you're really into it, if there's an opening, and if the training team likes you enough to teach you and get you motivated for a senior role. If you make it to the interview, you'll meet with about 2-3 operations managers who will ask about what you've learned, how you'd handle tricky situations, and if you know the system's tech.

Behavioral Technical

The interview felt more like a pleasant conversation than a formal interview. The hiring manager and I discussed my background, strengths, and experience in product management in a really easygoing way. They seemed genuinely curious about my approach to problem-solving and understanding user needs. I liked that they shared insights about the company’s culture and goals, making it clear they prioritize innovation and impact. Toward the end, they asked me about my long-term career aspirations and if I had any questions about team dynamics or work-life balance. Overall, it felt like they were really trying to get to know me.
