Project Management Specialist
I had a phone call with a Senior Acquisition Specialist. She was late to the call, and mostly just talked about how my resume indicated I would be a good fit for the role. I offered to share my experience, and she said it sounded great. She said she would connect me with the hiring team and let me know about next steps by the end of the week. I didn't hear back, so I emailed her multiple times. I never got a response. About a month later, I got an automated email saying the job was filled. It was a really unprofessional interview and made me doubt the company.
- Are you okay with the responsibilities mentioned in the job description?
Integrated Marketing Manager
The interview process was quite odd and ultimately disappointing, especially coming from a recruiting background. It started with a recruiter phone screen where the initial communication about the role was clear and easy to schedule. However, the recruiter mentioned some details about the role that turned out to be inaccurate later on. During the screen, the recruiter asked about my salary expectations and pressured me to give a specific number multiple times, despite it being illegal to ask about salary in IL. This made me very uncomfortable and left no time for me to ask any questions. I was told I'd hear about next steps in a couple of days, but within two hours, I got a vague email from a different recruiter. I had to ask for clarification on whether it was a hiring manager interview and if it would be on camera. The hiring manager interview itself started more than 5 minutes late, and the interviewer seemed indifferent and uninterested. It felt like I was already written off. After not hearing back for over two days, I followed up and was told they'd discuss it that week. Then, three more days passed, and I received an automated rejection email. While I didn't expect the job, I at least expected a personalized email after two interviews. Overall, it felt disorganized and disrespectful.
- Can you share your experience with establishing work processes?
Associate - Revenue & Payment
I heard from a recruiter at Transcarent in April 2025. This hiring process felt rushed and impersonal from the start. The recruiter, M.C., seemed rushed during the short 8-10 minute interview, making it feel like a quick check rather than a real conversation. Even though I took the time to send a cover letter, resume, extra papers, and re-type all my details, it felt like they didn't really care. I didn't get the job, but the lack of real conversation makes me wonder if candidates are getting the attention they deserve.
- What salary are you looking for?
Care Specialist
The interview process was lengthy but incredibly thorough. Meg, the lead talent acquisition partner, was an absolute pleasure to work with and walked me through all of the steps. She followed up quickly and helped make sure that I knew how I had done with each interview. I met with several people from the team I'd be working with, along with others from management, so I was able to better understand both the responsibilities I would have in my role, but get a great sense of the company and its mission and values. I also had a case study, which I reviewed with the person whom I will be working with closely. The entire process took a month, but it's clear that they're willing to invest the time and energy looking for suitable people who will be a good fit with the company.
- Describe your process for collaborating with different teams.
- How do you handle rapid changes or uncertainty in your work?
- Can you explain your organizational methods during busy periods?
