We'll start with a formal greeting. You'll be asked to read a short script and then role-play a cold call as best as you can. We'll also ask you why you want to work here. If you're looking to impress the CEO and land the job, make sure to read the script exactly as it's written, without adding any words. Deliver it with emotion and enthusiasm, like an actor. Speak slowly, be yourself, and read dynamically.

I submitted my resume online and was immediately contacted to come in for an interview. The person who contacted me, who I thought would be my manager, turned out to be the receptionist. I arrived at 4:15 PM for a 4:30 PM interview, and everyone was dressed like they were going out for the night. Loud music was playing, and there were five large screens showing various channels, including March Madness, the History Channel, daytime TV, and SpongeBob. Although no one was watching, they were planning to add more screens. Someone even made a sale while I was there, and they celebrated by ringing a loud bell. A man who appeared sweaty and greasy kept staring at me as he was leaving. I had researched the company online and recognized the two people I was supposed to interview with. All the offices had clear glass walls, so I could see them sitting around watching SpongeBob and not talking. They went to get beer refills from the kitchen multiple times and kept me waiting for an extra 20 minutes while they drank and watched SpongeBob. As everyone else was leaving for the day, and I realized I was about to be left alone with two drunk men, I decided to leave. It was a complete waste of my time.

Sent my resume and got a quick phone screening from the office admin the next day. They scheduled me for an interview two days later. When I got there, the office was busy and I had to wait 15 minutes. It's an open-plan office with mostly sales staff, loud music, and bells going off for sales. TVs are always on too. I met with the Tech Manager and the two owners. It was high energy and sometimes hard to hear. The interview questions were good, asking about my experience and if my skills were a match. The interview went well, but I had a feeling I wasn't the right fit for them. I never heard back. The office vibe with music and TVs might be a plus for some but a challenge for others.

I walked into a nice building with an open-plan office and top-notch equipment. Then, I was led to the sales office, which was also open-plan with good equipment. The CEO joined me and two other candidates for a group interview. We were given a script to read, and the first question was about how well we could read a script. I went first after rating myself high. The script involved a role-play where I had to pretend to be looking for a real estate agent. There were specific instructions about waiting during pauses and stretching out certain words. I messed up the ad-libs and the pauses, and the interviewer also tricked me with extended waits, making me nervous and stumble over my words. After the script reading, we moved on to other questions.
