First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Traeger Pellet Grills.
Brand Ambassador
First there was a phone call to see if I was a good fit. Then I had another phone interview with a sales leader. After that, I had a 3-day on-site training in SLC where they taught me the pitch and I had to do it within a certain time.
- Can you tell me about a time you faced rejection and how it impacted your performance?
Customer Operations
Started with a recruiter screen, then had three more chats with different people involved in the role. All of these were done remotely and one-on-one, and each lasted between 30 and 45 minutes.
- Can you share an instance where you spotted a chance to make a process better? What actions did you take, and who did you collaborate with to succeed?
- What is your definition of exceeding expectations?
Sales Representative
It was 2 interviews, pretty straightforward. The interviewer was very monotone and not engaging at all. The interview itself wasn't hard, but it didn't create a motivating atmosphere or make me want to work there. Also, it's entirely commission-based, which wasn't mentioned upfront.
- What made you decide to apply for this role?
Event Coordinator
Had a phone interview, it was good and professional. Then I had an in-person interview. The interviewer didn't seem to value the time and effort I put into applying, researching, and preparing. They were distracted, looking around the room, at their phone, and at the ceiling vent, complaining about the heat. While I think it's a great company, the hiring managers need training on interviewing. I felt offended and knew I wouldn't get the job. I'm not sure if I was just part of a process to legally hire someone, but I didn't feel treated fairly.
- Can you feel air coming out of the vent?
- Is it hot in here?
