I got a call from HR, who was really nice, and they set up a time for me to talk to their head of operations. He also asked me some standard resume questions and mentioned they'd let me know about coming to the HQ. The building looked great, really modern. I then met with the head of recruiting to review my resume, then the general manager, and then the head of operations again. It felt pretty relaxed, like they were just trying to see if I'd fit in. They said I'd need to meet the brokers I'd be working with and that they'd be in touch. Although they decided not to move forward with my application, they were very polite about it.

Had a phone interview with the hiring manager, then two Zoom interviews with the sales manager and the division founder. The interview itself went fine, but the offer stage was messed up. The division founder called my personal cell after the Zoom interviews to ask about my previous year's salary. I told him my desired salary, which we had already discussed before the first interview. After that unprofessional lowball tactic, I was ready to move on, but I still wanted to see what the offer would be. It took two weeks of me and the headhunter following up before they just said no. I'm still shocked by the lack of transparency and professionalism from them. Calling yourselves industry leaders?

It was a pretty smooth process other than the length it took, 7 interviews over the course of 3 months. Met with many members of the trading desk. The people were nice and the interviews weren't challenging. Following the last interview, I didn't hear anything and did not receive a response from the hiring manager. Had to reach out to my contact in hr to get confirmation that I was not selected for the position.

Then, I spoke with a Sales Associate who again asked about my resume, but also why I'd be a good salesman and why I wanted to work for Tradition. Finally, I met with the CEO, who asked about my personality and career goals to see if I was a good fit.
