First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tradewinds Island Resorts.
Security Officer
First, they explained the job to me, which took about 15 minutes. Then, they asked if I could walk and gave me a tour of the property at a brisk pace, lasting about 15-20 minutes. After returning to the office, I was given a scenario to write a sample report, testing my writing and computer skills.
- Tell me about your previous experience and if you are able to walk.
- Can you walk?
Vacation Planner
The interview process was pretty straightforward. After HR approved my application, the department manager gave me a call to schedule an interview. I interviewed with the manager and they didn't ask any strange questions. I then waited for a callback from the manager and got one within a couple of business days.
- Tell me about your availability.
- Can you describe your relevant experience?
Reservations Agent
The atmosphere was really welcoming from everyone. I spoke with both the Group Reservations Manager and the Assistant Reservations Manager. They asked a lot of questions about my work ethic, organization, ability to juggle tasks, and attention to detail. They explained the job well and made it sound like a close-knit team. They also asked about my past jobs and how I thought they prepared me for Tradewinds. It was a great experience and I'm really excited about the possibility of working there.
- Can you share an instance where you were given minimal direction for a task that needed to be finished quickly?
Server
I applied on the company website and heard back within a week. It was pretty easy to apply, but there were a lot of people going for it. They usually want three years of serving experience, but after my first interview, they recommended me for the job anyway. I had two interviews total: the first one was with the general manager, and the second was with the assistant manager.
- Can you name brands of alcohol for different categories like whiskey, vodka, and tequila?
