First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Traders Insurance.
Manager
Simple application process. The company was very responsive. Multiple people were engaged in the process. I did a phone interview and then received a call back. Guess it went well because they offered me the job after an engaging video interview where I got the sense they were genuinely looking for a good fit for skill, experience and culture.
- Can you describe your responsibilities in your past roles?
- Could you share an instance where you...
Operations Administrative Specialist
The interview process was really smooth. I felt super welcomed and comfortable when I arrived. I had a second interview where I met with the VP of Claims and the COO. After that, I met with the Operations Manager again and they offered me the job! I was surprised it happened so quickly. They let me take the paperwork home to look over and give them my answer the next day, no problem. They were also really flexible and understanding about my start date, letting me finish up my two weeks at my old company. After I accepted, I got congratulatory emails from my manager, coworkers, and the COO, telling me how excited they were for me to start. This made me feel even more excited and welcomed about starting at the new company.
- They asked about past experiences and how I handled them, rather than just asking about my skills.
- Could you share an example of how you dealt with something in your previous work?
- How did you handle a past work situation?
Product Analyst
After applying online, I heard back from HR within a couple days and we set up a phone interview. Then, I was contacted to schedule an in-person interview with the hiring manager and the team, and they were really flexible with timing. The next step was a meeting with the CEO. Everyone was super friendly and responsive throughout the process. I got the offer a little over a week later.
- Can you tell me about your past experiences?
- What made you want to apply for this specific position?
- What do you consider your greatest strengths and areas for improvement?
Liability Claims Adjuster
There were 2 long interviews, and they took their time getting an offer out. It was a group setting with a few tests. It was pretty laid back and not really behavior-based. There wasn't a lot of hype around it. The interviewer was honest and straightforward. It's a good company, but the location is terrible and the workload is too much. They need more adjusters, but they offer low pay. People use this company to get experience and then move on.
- Can you describe your experience?
