So, the interview process started with a case study, which was focused on startup research. It was pretty long, but it really gave me a good sense of what the job is all about. After that, there was a discussion about the case study, followed by a chat about salary.

Case Behavioral

It was a 2-round telephonic interview process. The first round was a case study that lasted about 1.5 hours. It involved discussing an e-commerce fulfillment strategy and some guesstimate questions. The interviewer was friendly, and it felt more like a team discussion than a formal interview. The second round was an HR interview. The HR person, with 5 years of experience, was assessing a candidate with 11 years of experience. They asked why I was interested in this role given my previous experience. The job description was vague, so I asked for more clarity about the role, mentioning my analytics background and problem-solving experience. The HR explained that analysts at Tracxn cover a broad range of tasks, including collecting secondary information, publishing firm/sector reports, and becoming subject matter experts, comparing the role to Gartner – neither a consultancy nor an analytics company, but 'Analysts'. After the interview, I sent a follow-up email explaining my fit based on similar experiences and the role's description. Unfortunately, I received a rejection, stating they found my profile compelling but were pursuing other candidates who were a better fit. I didn't receive specific feedback.

Case Presentation

The interview process was smooth and not very challenging. They've been asking the same questions to everyone for a long time. Interviewers are instructed to follow a set path rather than improvising. They presented a business model case study for last-mile delivery startups and described different models. Candidates were asked to determine which model is suitable for specific product types. This has been the procedure for all candidates over the past six months.
