First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trackonomy.
Embedded Firmware Engineer
It was a good interview that dug deep into some concepts. They wanted to see how strong my problem-solving skills were. They asked about my experience, gave me a logic coding problem, and some design questions where I had to write pseudocode.
- Tell me about integrating multiple sensors with a processor and how you'd initiate and debug such a system.
NPI Engineer
It was a pretty intense and long interview process, taking about 4-6 weeks and involving around 6-7 interviews. One of those was a group interview, done virtually with 5 people in the same meeting.
- Can you tell me about NPI processes, quality, and how 6 Sigma applies?
- What are your thoughts on RF and Manufacturing from a technical standpoint?
Chief of Staff
Man, this interview experience was rough. I went through a total of 7 rounds of interviews, spread out over 7 weeks. They even gave me a verbal offer, but then I got an email saying the position was removed because of some report. So annoying.
- What is your approach to resolving conflicts between team members?
Senior Software Engineer
The interview for this contract role had a few frustrating aspects. You couldn't go back to a problem once you moved to the next section, and there was no autocomplete or ability to look up syntax. They gave two Leetcode hard problems. The System Design section required uploading diagrams for a generic API problem focused on scalability, caching, and back pressure. Since we weren't supposed to open other tabs, this was confusing, and I ran out of time before completing it. No feedback was provided, though the multiple-choice questions were okay. Overall, it felt like a waste of 90 minutes.
- They asked Leetcode 297.
- They asked a second hard problem.
- Design a generic API problem that addresses scalability, caching, back pressure, and you are not suppose to open different tabs.
