First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TRAC.
HR Generalist
I went through three rounds of interviews for this role. Throughout the process, I was kept informed about what was happening and what to expect next. TRAC made a decision on my application within a couple of weeks of me applying. Honestly, it was the easiest interview process I've ever gone through.
- What do you find difficult about working in HR?
Invoice Review Coordinator
I applied and heard back a couple weeks later. Had to fax some documents before the interview. They sent a rejection email the same day I interviewed. The recruiter was unhelpful. I wasn't told there weren't any signs for the company on the building's exterior and that I needed to call a receptionist upon arrival. Another company's name was on the building, but I wasn't informed about this. The interviewer was unfriendly, read questions from a paper, and then said "I'll walk you out." I received a rejection email later that day and the job was reposted.
- What is your work motivation?
Software Engineer
This was a bit of a drawn-out process, with a lot of delays between stages. Communication wasn't great, and updates were slow. We met over Hangouts with some senior folks. It included 2 technical rounds and 1 HR round.
- Can you describe your experience with full-stack development, specifically focusing on both front-end and back-end aspects using JavaScript?
- What are some common front-end development questions you might ask?
- Could you provide some back-end questions related to Python?
FP&A Analyst
I applied online and got a call from HR for a 30-minute phone interview. A week later, I had an in-person interview in Princeton with four people. The interviews were okay until the last one with Donna, who asked negative questions like 'How far do you live from the office?' When I said about an hour commute, she was disappointed and said I lived too far, making faces of disapproval. I think she needs interviewing training. Overall, it was an okay experience.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
- How far do you live from the office?
