First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TPG Architecture.
Job Captain
The interview process was pretty typical. It included two interviews with partners and some additional conversations. Afterwards, HR sent an email to clarify all the benefits. They were very open to providing clarification on any needed details.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your experience?
- What are your career aspirations?
Studio Director
The interview process was straightforward and enjoyable. I never felt pressured during the interview. The questions were very pointed to understand the overall experience level on studio management as the position entailed managing multiple personnel.
- Tell me about your experience with design development and detailing of millwork.
Project Architect
It was a long interview, they really want to see pictures and details for at least 3 projects. What I noticed is that the questions were more about personal opinions... They don't use Ipads, they are old school for interviews... If they take you for a tour in the office, it's a good sign. Dress code is business.
- How many children do you have?
- Do you intend to have more children in the future?
Interior Design Intern
before the pandemic started, i went to their office for an interview with two designers. i showed them my printed portfolio and went through my projects. i was then given the opportunity to ask questions. unfortunately because of the pandemic, the internship was cancelled.
- Can you walk us through your portfolio?
