First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TPD.
Staffing Coordinator
I had 2 interviews. First one was with 2 team members. After that, they asked for my references and I went to a second interview with the hiring manager. Then my references were called and went through a long list of questions for about 20 minutes each.
- Why do you think you are a suitable candidate for this role?
Bindery Operator
The recruiter was a bad listener and I had to repeat myself a lot. They called me about 6 times before sending me to the client, and spoke to me like I had no interview experience. The interview at the printing company was a joke. It's a rough job in a really loud and hot place, and they desperately need people. During the tour, the workers looked angry and glared at me. The follow-up call was the same old story, so I ended the conversation. It was a complete waste of time, and the recruiter was obnoxious.
- Have you operated any of the following specific machine models?
Admin Assistant
I talked to a recruiting agency first before they forwarded my application to the employer. I had two interviews: one on the phone, and another over Google Meet. The first recruiter was really nice and welcoming. However, the person I spoke with later didn't seem very interested, which was a bit awkward but not a big deal. The real issue was that the job location was a 48-minute walk from the nearest station, even though the ad said it was easily accessible by public transport. When I brought this up, the recruiter said it was my problem, which confused me since the ad was misleading. Overall, it was an okay experience with good and bad points, but any experience is good, right?
- What's your level of commitment to this role?
Human Resources Coordinator
Applied online and got a phone interview invite in 2 days. The call took about 20 mins. It was a smooth process and the recruiter was friendly. The questions were straightforward, not tricky. The only issue was hearing my own voice while talking, which was a bit distracting. After the call, they mentioned they'd shortlist candidates and the hiring manager would reach out to those selected.
- What makes you want to join TPD?
