Sales Support
I had an in-person interview with different managers and team members. It was nice meeting the team, although some people were leaving the team, which was a bit weird. I got to meet the hiring manager on the first day of interviews, which was sooner than expected. Generally, everyone was very friendly.
- What is your biggest strength?
Human Resources
The interview process takes about 2 weeks and has 3 stages. Before the first interview, I had to do a short 5-10 minute personality quiz where I picked words that describe me. Then, the first interview involved taking the Wonderlic Assessment, which was like a standardized test. After that, I met with the manager and supervisor of my department. The second interview was with people at different levels in the organization who have worked with my manager and supervisor.
- What is your biggest weakness?
Mortgage Loan Officer
This experience was marked by dishonesty throughout. It began with an ill-informed and immature interviewer, whose provided phone and email details were incorrect. The initial online advertisement listed a pay rate of $10/hr plus commissions, which I likely still have saved. They then proceeded to ask typical entry-level questions. The compensation structure changed drastically, decreasing three times by the third interview. The industry is challenging, and attracting candidates is difficult due to the poor pay, which is comparable to fast food wages despite requiring high-level skills. Even with commission, the pay is extremely low, requiring exceptional effort to accept. Transparency would have been appreciated, but I learned from the experience.

Underwriter
The interview process is quite lengthy and can feel like a drag. It involves five separate interviews and a test that doesn't seem to relate to the actual job responsibilities. Given that there are five interviewers, it can take a while to get a callback, which might cause good candidates to accept other job offers.
