Structural Engineer
Submitted application, then got screened, had some phone interviews, then an in-person interview. They also did behavioral and technical assessments. After that, reference checks were done. Then we negotiated the offer and started onboarding. It was a pretty easy interview, just basic questions about yourself and why you are interested in this position.
- What is the keyboard copy command?
Civil Engineer
It was a smooth, relaxed, laid-back 1-on-1 interview. They described the type of work they do. Met through University. Had to go to their office for the interview. The interviewer was a little late. I only interviewed with the division manager. It was a one-on-one interview with no one else present. They seem like a relaxed and flexible company, where it doesn't matter what time you work as long as you get the job done.
- When can you start?
- Are you okay with the job requiring 40% travel?
Structural Engineer
I had a quick 5-minute phone screen initially, and about a week later, I was invited for an onsite interview that lasted an hour. During the onsite, the recruiter asked me some civil PE quiz questions and other job-related questions. I didn't manage to answer all of them, but the recruiter was really patient.
