First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tovala.
Marketing Manager
It was a really long and draining interview process with 5 rounds and 7 interviewers. I got good feedback throughout but ultimately wasn't offered the job because of a skill I didn't know was important since it wasn't mentioned in the job description or interviews. I do have the skill, but it never came up.
- Can you walk me through your experience and explain how it relates to this position?
Brand Director
This company always has this role posted. Marketing and Brand job postings seem to be an attempt at helping the company to appear successful and growing to investors. They will do an interview but it feels more like free consulting than an interview. These are ghost jobs. Don't bother.
- What is your definition of a brand.
Product Manager
The interview process seemed to be going well at first, with timely communication from the recruiter and smooth scheduling. However, after 7 rounds, communication ceased. Following up via email, they eventually informed me that while I was a good cultural fit, the team's needs had shifted. Despite the job being posted over two months ago, it remained unfilled. My advice: don't bother applying, as they appear indecisive.
- Can you share details about your past work experience?
Copywriting Manager
The interview process was a bit long, with 5 meetings spread over about 2 months. It included a recruiter phone screen, a 1 on 1 with the CD, a panel with creatives, a panel with marketing peers, and a meeting with the CGO. I enjoyed meeting different people and creatives, but wished there was more clarity on the role. They were looking for a performance copywriter, not really a brand creative/idea person.
- How would you describe your management style?
