The interview itself was good. I was interviewed by a panel of 5 people, with one joining via Zoom. They said I answered questions really well. They mentioned they'd let me know about a second interview or an offer within two weeks, but they didn't stick to that timeline. I followed up, and someone told me a decision would be made within the next week. After that, they stopped responding to my emails. They ghosted me for a month, and I had to email them again 4 weeks later to get a response saying they chose another candidate. This is the second time this company has ghosted me in the last four years.

I sent in my application and heard back pretty quickly via email. No phone screening. They set up an in-person interview a few days later, so the whole thing moved fast. When I got there, they showed me around the campus and then gave me a schedule of who I'd be meeting with. I ended up talking to 5 different people in total, which felt really thorough. It was pretty relaxed and conversational, and everyone shared their perspective on the job. I really liked the person who was leaving the role, and she said she'd recommend me. The interview lasted about 2.5 hours, and I left feeling good about it. However, I never got any follow-up, not even an email, which has been really disappointing after waiting two months.

I went through an interview process at their New York location. It involved two interviews. The first was a quick screening with someone who wasn't fully clear on the role's specifics but was pleasant. About a week later, there was a Zoom interview with the hiring manager. This interviewer was tough for me; he seemed unable to smile or relax, asking questions that seemed to require years of experience, like for HPLC and mammalian cell culturing, and was critical of my lack of it, despite it being an entry-level role. He clearly has a passion for science and lab work, but his interpersonal skills were lacking, at least in my experience. After that, they didn't respond.

The interview was pretty straightforward and comfortable. I met with people from the Finance office and answered questions about systems I used and experience I had. I felt pretty good about the whole deal when I left. I was told that I was in the top six candidates. Three weeks passed and I heard nothing, not even a courtesy email after my Thank you email. I only learned that I didn't get the job when I checked the university website and the job posting had been taken down. You would think that being a "Top Six" would at least warrant a call or email letting me know that someone else was chosen. I expected more professionalism from a university.
