The interview was pretty standard. Make sure you've researched the company and the role, and that you can meet the job expectations. I tried to build a good connection with the Sales Manager who interviewed me. I asked them about the challenges of the job. Just be confident.

It was a pretty standard interview process. They asked a lot of normal questions about my experience and the hours I've worked, and if I'm willing to put in overtime. They also asked about my long-term plans and my ability to work within a team. Additionally, they inquired about my experience with payroll.

Presentation Behavioral

Before my interview with the field office manager, I had to submit a PowerPoint presentation about my sales experience and qualifications. I put a lot of effort into creating this deck and sent it to the HR recruiter, but the manager didn't even mention or discuss it during our meeting. Over three weeks after my in-person interview, where they suggested I was a top candidate and would hear back soon, I received an automated email from HR saying I wasn't chosen for the role. They provided no feedback or explanation for why, even though I was highly qualified. It was a really disrespectful and poor way to handle the candidate experience. Toshiba needs to improve their process.

So this interview process was kinda long and weird. It started with a call from a recruiter in Florida, but I didn't even know which company she worked for at first. Turns out Toshiba hired her to find people. We talked about once a week for about a month. I actually didn't hear from her for a whole month and thought I didn't get it. Then she called and said I needed to meet the sales manager. We first talked on the phone, then set up an in-person meeting for the next week. They offered me the job a week after that. The whole thing took like two and a half months. Not the best experience, honestly.
