First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Torrent Pharmaceuticals.
Product Manager
The interview process is quite long, with multiple rounds and verification, and can take up to 2 months to complete. It involves interviews with a Marketing Manager, Cluster Head, Director, and finally an HR round. While the interview itself was conducted well with skill-based questions, the overall process could be a bit faster.
- Can you discuss your experience with marketing-related questions concerning various matrices?
- Tell me about different campaigns you've worked on in the past.
- What is your understanding of brand size and related aspects?
HR Consultant
The hiring process was very slow. The first contact happened long after the job opening was posted. Even after the online interview, a generic email feedback came about 2 months later. This shows a complete lack of respect for candidates who don't know what's going on. Even when asking for updates (via email or WhatsApp), no response is given. Afterwards, they put ethics and respect in their company values... yeah right.
- Could you introduce yourself?
Regulatory Affairs
The interview process involved questions about CMC requirements for different drug dosages and discussions on the various modules within a CTD dossier. They also inquired about country-specific regulatory requirements for the USA, European Union, and India.
- Questions were asked regarding the CMC requirements associated with various dosages.
- The interviewer also sought information on the different modules that constitute a CTD dossier.
- Additionally, queries were posed about the specific regulatory requirements in countries such as the USA, the EU, and India.
Scientist
I applied for an IPR role in formulation development via the job portal and got a Skype interview after a basic screening round. The interview, from 10:30 to 11:15 (45 minutes), covered technical and core IPR topics. I answered most questions well because my experience in the outsourcing industry made me strong technically and theoretically. However, I lacked practical experience in Para IV filing and patent filing. I answered questions about patents, Para IV, and ANDA filing. I was confused why they interviewed me if they had my resume, unless they were looking for filing experience. It was a waste of time. My advice: clarify these points early on.
- Can you give a brief introduction?
- Could you tell me about the Orange book?
- How is ANDA filing done?
