To do well in your interview, be ready and bring 1-2 copies of your resume, plus any certificates you have. Also, bring a small notebook for questions to ask the interviewer; aim to ask at least five questions. The manager will ask you questions to get to know you, inquire about the company's history, and check if you have food industry experience or certifications. They will explain the job duties and what's expected. If you get hired, make sure to study the menu and all the ingredients for every item, including tacos, burritos, salads, and sides, and know which sauce goes with each. They will test you on this to see if you're diligent and hardworking. I don't know what happens if you fail the test, but they do give you at least two chances.

Behavioral Presentation

I applied online and heard back from a recruiter about 10 days later. The initial phone chat was great, very conversational, and the recruiter knew my background. We discussed the role, company, and culture openly. Right after that 30-minute call, I was invited for an in-person interview with the director. This interview felt very comfortable, like they really wanted to know me. Within 4 hours that same day, I was notified about the next step: a project presentation for the founder and director. I had about 4 days to prepare it, which they loved. After that, I waited about 10 days to hear back, as they were still interviewing. Once my references checked out, I received an offer about 3 days later. The recruiting team at Torchy's really knows their stuff!

It was a month-long process. Started with a recruiter call asking about leadership and motivation, then a personality quiz. After submitting the quiz, the recruiter emailed about a reference survey for two managers and two subordinates/coworkers. Then another recruiter call to set up an interview with the GM, who discussed company growth. A few days later, the recruiter called again to schedule a Real Job Preview interview with a District Manager, which was on a Saturday and lasted 2-3 hours. It showed how the store operates during busy times. I discussed my background and answered questions, including a mistaken low-ball on salary expectations which the DM confirmed was within range. Four days later, the recruiter called with a verbal offer and promised an offer letter by end of day. Later that day, I was asked to schedule another interview with a different DM, which I accepted. That interview covered leadership, experience, motivation, store issues, and shifts. The DM said I'd hear back in a couple of days. I followed up via email on Thursday about the offer letter. On Friday afternoon, the recruiter called to offer a Shift Lead position, although none were available in my area at the moment. The people were great and I believe the company has a bright future. My advice is to keep applying until you've officially signed an offer.

I applied online but didn't get a call back. I went to the restaurant directly. Since the place wasn't open yet and training was starting soon, they interviewed me right there. They looked at my resume and asked me stuff about customer interaction, my school schedule, and my motivation for wanting to work there. Then, they offered me the job and gave me the training dates.
