First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Torana.
Data Engineer
I had 2 rounds of interviews. The first round was pretty tough because it was very technical, related to the job. The second round was easier; they gave me a home assignment about ETL migration, and I could use any language to migrate from SQL Server to SQL Server.
- What is your knowledge about SQL?
- Do you have expertise in the Java language?
- Can you perform an ETL migration from SQL Server to SQL Server using any language?
Devops Engineer
The hiring process was smooth compared to other companies. The HR team provided all necessary details and scheduled calls at our convenience. They were very polite and humble during our interactions.
- Tell me about your experience with AWS, DevOps, Terraform, EKS, and GitOps.
Software Test Engineer
The interview process had three rounds. Round 1 was all about basics in testing - Manual, Java, Selenium, API, SQL & Databases. Also, some real-time questions on processes and scenarios, projects management tools, and Agile and Scrum. Round 2 was a mix of Technical and Managerial. Round 3 was with HR focusing on Personality & communication.
- Can you write simple Java programs?
- Can you write SQL queries?
- How do you locate an element using Selenium?
Data Governance Lead
So basically there are three rounds, two technical rounds and one managerial round. After that, HR will have a final discussion about compensation and benefits.
- Can you share an instance where you resolved a conflict between two team members?
