First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Toptech Systems.
Quality Assurance Analyst
A recruiter reached out about the Quality Assurance Analyst job. I then went to the Longwood office for an in-person interview with the Hiring Manager and the User Experience Manager. It was a good interview where I learned a lot about the company, its structure, products, and general workflow. They were patient and answered all my questions. The Hiring Manager gave me a tour, explaining different areas. Toptech Systems seems like a place with growth opportunities and a family-like atmosphere.
- Given that this role requires both quality assurance and client support, do you have prior experience in client support?
User Experience Manager
I talked with Paulette first, and she was great about answering my questions beforehand and getting back to me quickly on email. On the interview day, I met Paulette, and we went over the main points of the job and she showed me around the place. Then, I had a deep dive interview with the Director of User Experience, which was a really good experience! They answered all my questions, and we talked a lot about the job, how the department is structured, and what's expected. My next interview involved giving a presentation to a group of leaders, followed by more interviews with two different groups of company leaders. Everyone was super welcoming and asked good questions, and they answered all of mine too. It was honestly one of the best interview experiences I've had. After the second interview, I felt like I really knew what would be expected of me if I got the job.
- Can you tell me about your past work and how it relates to this field?
- They asked for details about my background and experience in my area of expertise.
Systems Engineer
So I got this systems engineer interview after meeting the hiring manager at an event at my University. They got in touch the next week to schedule. The whole process was pretty flexible and worked around my schedule. It kicked off with a 10-minute presentation, then two 30-minute interviews. The first one was all about my past work experience related to the role, and the second one was more of a 'Tell me about a time when...' type of deal, focusing on behavioral questions. Being detailed really helps here. It wraps up in about an hour and 45 minutes, and honestly, it flies by if you're into it and ready. Make sure to have some questions for them too. For the presentation, try to connect it to the company or the job itself. They usually give feedback the next day or even the same day, so it's a fast turnaround. It's a pretty good experience, especially if you're just out of college, as they seem to be looking for bright, young talent.
- What makes you select Toptech in comparison to other engineering firms?
Systems Engineer
The interview process was short but also drawn out, it could have been faster. The job was offered prematurely and seemed to be not an average interview process. Was also shown the facility on first meet as well as the employees.
- Why Toptech?
- Describe challenges you have faced and how you overcame them.
- How would you address a coworker who is not performing well, or inform management about it?
