The interview process was professional. Started with an HR screening, followed by several technical interviews. There was also a programming interview. Pretty standard stuff, focusing on my experience, ISTQB principles, and programming in Java and Selenium.

The first interview was easy, but the second part was a 90-minute or 4-hour exam that was very difficult, asking hard code and algorithm questions. I don't understand why they ask for a QA role if they're going to test you on coding. Also, why make us solve problems from scratch in 5 minutes when it seems like only a genius or someone who memorized the questions could do it? Usually, people would look it up on StackOverflow. The theory questions were also really unclear. It doesn't make sense that they want to pay you as a QA but test you as a software engineer. If I wanted to do algorithms and programming, I would have applied for a software engineer job, not a QA job that pays much less.
