First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TopRank Marketing.
Marketing Strategist
The interview had several stages, but thankfully most of them were completed in a single day. It seemed like everyone was really engaged and committed to the hiring process. I actually got to talk with some of the company leaders during this half-day session.
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a client.
- How do you approach difficult client conversations?
- What's your approach to client interactions?
Content Writer
After applying, I was contacted quickly and asked to send writing samples. Then, there was a general, high-level interview where they asked about my salary expectations. Next, I completed a writing test, which I had a couple of days to do since I was working full-time. They liked my sample and scheduled another phone interview focused on culture and work methodology. After that, I had an in-person interview on-site with management, the President, and someone in a similar role. This went well, with conversations about marketing and writing rather than hypothetical role-play. A few days later, a manager conducted a final interview covering compensation and benefits. Later that night, they called with an offer. Overall, a great experience.
- How would you increase the reach of a piece of content you've written?
Account Manager
So there were two rounds of phone interviews, each about 30 minutes long. Then, I had an in-office day, which took several hours. I got a tour, met with a bunch of people, and then sat in on meetings with folks in similar roles to the one I applied for. It was a pretty cool way to see if the company vibe was a good fit!
- What are your expectations for a digital expert and account service role?
- How do you balance the duties of a digital expert and an account service role?
Social Media and Influencer Marketing Coordinator
The interview process was super friendly! It actually went a little longer than planned because I had some extra questions, and they were happy to answer them all. The role is focused on B2B brands and kinda combines aspects of two different jobs, but they explained it all clearly.
- Can you tell me about projects you have worked on and your strengths?
