First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Too Faced Cosmetics.
Copywriter
It was a total disappointment! They were disorganized and disrespectful of my time, showing many red flags. I made it to the final round for an interview with the founder/president Jerrod and three other leaders (VP and cofounder/husband of Jerrod included) because the role involves working closely with him. Jerrod didn't show up, and no one knew he wasn't coming. We waited while they joked about how difficult he is to work with and his temperamental nature. Once it was clear he wasn't coming, we ended the interview. A recruiter took me to an empty office to discuss next steps, but I was left alone for 30 minutes until I asked the receptionist. The recruiter came down without apologizing and said she'd be in touch. She emailed the next day asking for references and a copy project, but didn't mention meeting Jerrod, despite its supposed importance. I withdrew my candidacy because the experience suggested a nightmarish work environment.
- How do you handle working with a leader who has a temper?
Marketing Communications Specialist
I applied online and the recruiter got in touch via email to schedule a phone interview. The whole thing took about 2 weeks! I'm still waiting to hear back about the next steps, but the recruiter said they'd keep me in the loop. The recruiter was super nice, easy to talk to, and knew their stuff. It felt like a real conversation where we were both getting to know each other. They asked all the right questions and seemed to know a lot about the company and its vibe. Plus, they really saw my skills and made me feel like a good fit. I really enjoyed chatting with them and finding out more about the company!

Facilities Coordinator
I applied online and got a call from HR for a phone screen. It went well, and then I was invited for an in-person interview with two team members. That also went well. After I left, they called to schedule a second interview with the hiring manager. The only thing that seemed a bit off was when HR asked if I knew the hiring manager. After my interview with the hiring manager, they said they'd make a decision by the end of the week. I didn't hear back, and I saw they reposted the job, saying they went with someone closer to what they're looking for. It's frustrating to go through three interviews if they aren't really interested.

Account Executive
The hiring manager was very pleasant and easy to speak with. I got the impression that it’s important they find a perfect fit and that they may have hired the wrong person in the past. I was asked quite a bit more questions than I’ve experienced in the past. They were really digging deep. Be prepared or they might throw you. But overall I feel like whoever they hire they will definitely value and want to help to develop them further.
