Product Manager
Had an initial chat with the Director of Product. We talked about me, the product, the role, and what the hiring team is looking for. They also laid out the recruiting process and I got to ask my questions.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Product Manager
The process started with a personal interview and then a product sense interview. They explained the process really well, and it felt very personal. The interviewer was super nice and professional. The interview covered product sense and thinking questions. They mainly wanted to see how I think and how I arrive at an answer, rather than just the answer itself.
- Considering how smartphones changed things 30 years ago, what do you think will be world-changing in the next 20-30 years, and why?
- Could you explain what a database is to a 4-year-old?
Product Manager
I had 5-6 interviews and got rejected via a quick call. I was hoping for more detailed feedback on what I did wrong so I can do better next time. Also, it's not cool to call people to ask about me without my OK.
- Questions about product sense were asked.
- A presentation was part of the interview process.
- Questions related to product analysis were included.
