It was just one interview with the whole team. They asked me about 10 questions, and I got a response the very next day. It was pretty standard, and the vibe was chill and conversational.

I got called to come into the school for the interview. It was with the principal, and they did most of the talking. The very next day, I got hired and was told to head to the district office to complete my paperwork and get my ID badge.

Behavioral Presentation

You pretty much need an inside connection to get hired here. Make sure your attire is conservative, particularly if you're a woman; a dress or suit is recommended. Be ready to contribute to extracurricular activities, as the district emphasizes student involvement in all areas. The principal's main concern isn't your teaching ability but your compliance; they have a 'my way or the highway' approach. Don't challenge them or voice your own opinions. Be warned if you get the job! They monitor phone calls, and no survey is truly anonymous. Last year, staff were too scared of management to submit surveys, so they tried an "anonymous" email survey. Hilarious! The students, parents, and other teachers are great. However, the administration is incompetent and uses bullying to control staff.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Be very cautious and conservative with your opinions, especially on subjective matters. It's best to act as if it were the 1950s.

Behavioral Technical

It was a straightforward interview process with just one round. I met with the Assistant Principal and the Heads of Department for the teachers. They asked a lot of questions about children and my past experiences with them. They also wanted to know how confident I am in taking notes and handling documents.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Are you familiar with documentation procedures?
  • Describe a situation where you had a disagreement with a coworker.
