The interview process was really long. I got an email about two weeks after applying, and then the whole thing took over three months. There were three separate interviews over several weeks. It also took another two weeks to finalize the background check and get onboarding details.

I applied from a job post for an Assistant Manager role at a community with tons of unsold homes. It was during the housing collapse and they really needed to move the inventory. I talked with a regional manager and a senior VP at our division offices. They wanted someone aggressive, not a snooty salesperson. My auto sales background helped me win out over 50 other applicants. We were pushed to accept client offers, and management did help get some big reductions approved. I got promoted to sales manager after the old one was found to be incompetent. She only sold 2 homes while I sold 12. I really did well that year, selling out the community with 31 sales in 18 months. Super lucky to get that chance. The company is Fortune 500, so expect the usual stuff. Watch out, they record everything, hidden cameras. They shop you a lot and only show you the footage if they need to yell at you for bad salesmanship.
