Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Toll Brothers.
Sales Associate
I had interviews at the main office and HQ, three in total. It was a chatty interview where we talked a lot about my background. Because of COVID, things took a while with hiring delays, but I got the job offer for the location I wanted.
- Can you share details about your background and past roles?
Sales Associate
The whole process took about 5 months. After the first interview, I got absolutely no feedback despite sending multiple follow-ups. It wasn't until 4 months later that I heard back. In the second interview with the same three people, one of them mentioned that the 'higher up' in the next office didn't like hiring experienced sales folks. She then made a comment about loving to hire young women straight out of college. Since I'm middle-aged, my stomach dropped. Today, I received an email saying they've decided to go in a different direction.
- Can you tell me about your sales performance?
- What are your standard sales questions regarding performance?
Sales Associate
I had in-person interviews with 3 different managers over a two week period. It took a few weeks to find out if I was hired. They also gave me a personality test. They asked typical interview questions. Sales experience was desired but not required.
- How would you handle different situations?
- Do you have sales experience?
