First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Together Labs.
Data Scientist
The first round was with the SVP, focusing on a brief introduction and your motivation for joining the company. The second round was with the Senior Director of Data Insights, covering product sense related questions. The third round was a technical interview with two staff members from the data sciences team, including basic SQL, hypothesis testing, and business-related graph analysis questions.

Customer Care Specialist
So I had an initial phone chat with HR, then another phone call a couple weeks after that with someone from Customer Care. After that, HR called me again, and then I had an onsite interview with about 5 or 6 people from the team. I was interviewing with a bunch of places and most just hit me with the same old questions. But when IMVU did their initial phone screen, they asked me what would make me passionate about coming to work each day, which I'd never been asked before. It really felt like they had a different, maybe cooler, vibe. That turned out to be true. During the onsite, the first person who interviewed me actually got me a drink themselves instead of having someone else do it, which showed a real humble, can-do spirit. Someone else I spoke with shared that she started as a coordinator and worked her way up to be a department head, which was a great sign they promote from within. Another interviewer, even though he was remote on video, came across as warmer and smarter than some people I met in person, suggesting they treat employees like people, not just numbers. I got an offer within 24 hours of the onsite, another good indicator. Even with other tech companies trying to recruit me, IMVU's offer was competitive and the best overall. Plus, I'm a big gamer, so it was an easy decision.
- What would it take for you to be passionate about coming to work every day?
Marketing
The entire interview process was a complete mess. It was disorganized with poor follow-up. They took more than a week to get back to me and set up a call with the team. When we finally managed to schedule a call, the interviewer was an hour late! IMVU doesn't respect candidates' time at all. Save yourself the trouble and don't bother applying. IMVU had so much potential but failed because they lack innovation, direction, and good management. Just look at their website; it's a total mess.

Product Manager
So, on the day of my interview, the scheduled call just never happened. I had to reach out to IMVU to find out there was some kind of scheduling mistake. They asked me to hang on and interview within the next half hour. When that second call also didn't show up, I checked my email again. Just five minutes before the new call was supposed to start, they asked to move the interview to the following week. I didn't even get an apology from whoever set up the interviews.
- Can you tell me about your experience with roadmap management?
