This disorganized startup is chaotic. I was upfront about my location and relocation preferences, stating I wasn't open to relocating in my application. I even emailed before the first interview to ask if it was hybrid or remote. During the first interview, I mentioned I was in Asia on holiday. I still proceeded, rearranging other interviews to fit their schedule. After the first round, I was invited to a second round and gave my availability. A week later, I got another invite, as if the first never happened. This invite said the role was Boston-based and I'd have to fly from California to Boston for just the second round, at my own expense.

The hiring process consists of 4 interviews. You'll start with a recruiter, then meet the hiring manager, followed by a joint interview with the hiring manager and a team member. The final interview is with a VP. They were quick with feedback after each stage.

Confirmed questions8 questions
  • This first interview is supposed to be about your personality, but really they just want to talk numbers. You don't really get to show who you are. The interviewer was super distracted, just reading the computer, and asking weird questions that seemed AI-generated.

Had 4 interviews and a mock disco with various GTM roles, ending with an interview with the CEO. Overall it was good, but they didn't do much selling of Tive back to me. I was close to accepting, but the remote aspect of the job turned me off.

Behavioral Technical

The hiring manager was friendly and kept the initial screening call engaging, which got me to the next round. However, the next round was a terrible experience. The interviewer was in her car, which felt unprofessional. She asked very general questions, like the difference between a Product and a Project, and it seemed like she was just passing time without serious intent. While employers look for the perfect candidate, candidates also look for a good employer, and this left me with a very bad feeling.
