First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tintri.
Inside Sales Representative
I hopped on an initial call with a senior sales executive. After that, I had conversations with two more folks who had similar roles. Then, they invited me in for an onsite interview. The onsite involved four separate interviews, each lasting about half an hour. They let me know their decision the very next day.
- What would you say is your greatest strength at work?
- What attributes do you have that would make you successful in this role?
- What do you foresee as the biggest challenge in this job?
Inside Sales Representative
I had three phone screens where they wanted to get a feel for my personality and if I had the drive to succeed in sales, like being competitive, results-oriented, passionate, and a team player. Although I had three phone calls, I wasn't invited for a final in-office interview. The last interviewer seemed to expect more in-depth knowledge of their product's technology, which was a bit unexpected since the first two interviewers didn't emphasize that. Overall, the three conversations were good. They're really focused on how you communicate over the phone and your personality, as that's key for this sales role.
- What makes you want to pursue a career in sales, specifically in the technology sector?
- What qualities do you possess that would make you a successful salesperson?
- What is your understanding of Tintri?
Inside Sales Representative
I was contacted by a recruiter to interview at Tintri. The first step was a phone call. The vibe I got from the person on the phone was really positive, making me think this company was doing big things. The whole process is pretty intense because it's super important to make sure the fit is right, especially given the current environment. After that, I went to their London office for an in-person interview. The Global Director of Inside Sales flew in from the US just to conduct these interviews, showing how serious they are about finding the right people. The office was buzzing with energy. Then, I met with the Director again, along with every single Inside Sales Representative who was there that day, in a separate room. This part lasted a couple of hours. They asked questions about why I chose sales, why Tintri, what I knew about the company, and my past experience. We also chatted about hobbies, personal branding, and my approach to work and success. My advice for anyone interviewing here is to thoroughly research the company – their website and YouTube are full of info. Also, if you're really keen on working at Tintri, make sure they know it and explain why. It's a great company with a strong culture, so if you have the right attitude, this is definitely the job you'll want.
