First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tines.
Customer Success Engineer
It was a pretty thorough process. I had five interviews and also a technical assessment. The interviews went from a recruiter call all the way up to one of the cofounders. I personally really liked the whole process. Everyone I met was super friendly and gave me honest feedback. The only thing that might have been tough about it, if anything, was just the sheer number of interviews.
- Can you share one of your most significant accomplishments?
- Describe a situation where you effectively resolved a customer's issue.
- Can you tell me about a negative customer interaction you had and how you managed to fix it?
Product Engagement Manager
The process started with a recruiter call, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager. Then, there was an assignment to submit. After that, I had an interview with the product manager. I didn't proceed further because my technical skills weren't quite what they were looking for, although I think there were probably two or three more rounds after mine. The communication was excellent throughout; they kept me informed about what was happening next, and everyone I interacted with was really respectful. Even though I didn't get the job, the best part was the detailed feedback afterward, including a call to discuss it more. It was a great candidate experience that I'll remember.
- Can you share an instance where you focused on increasing product adoption?
Account Manager
I went through recruiting, had 3 interviews, but they decided not to move forward because of a resume gap. They knew my experience and still wasted my time. Honestly, I don't think they know what they're doing. I prepared for many questions, but most weren't even asked in the final interview.
- Can you walk me through a deal review from your past work experience?
Sales Development Representative
This was an amazing interview process that took about 2-3 weeks. I can't say enough great things about the team and the culture they've created. Everyone from the recruiter to the CRO was very informative and helpful throughout. People I reached out to on LinkedIn were willing to help me prepare or give me insights. The recruiter provided feedback on the mock email exercise and offered tips for other interviews. Unlike other companies, I didn't have to follow up constantly because they were very timely! The process included: a recruiter phone interview, a mock email exercise, an account executive interview, a sales manager interview with a cold call exercise, an SDR panel interview, and a final interview with the CRO.
- Tell me about your experience working at a startup.
- What's the most recent thing you taught yourself?
- Can you share an instance where you faced a problem and proactively learned something new to overcome it?
