Bartender
I had a great time working there and made some good friends. They offer opportunities to advance to Assistant General Manager or General Manager positions in other locations. It can be stressful dealing with unruly customers, though.
- Do you have prior bartending experience?
Bartender
Met with the bar manager before the new Tin Roof location opened. They explained the company's philosophy, what they look for in bartenders, and typical shift lengths. I was asked about my past bartending experience, particularly with busy places. The interview finished with a quick quiz on different drinks and shots. It was a really nice chat, and I got to ask about the dress code, time-off requests, and how many people they were hiring.
- Could you list the ingredients for a Baybreeze, Sex on the Beach, and a Vegas Bomb?
Server
It was pretty laid back. You just give them your resume, and if they want to move forward, you meet with the managers for a casual talk. They'll ask about your background and such, but really, they're just checking out your personality. They care a lot about hiring people who they think will connect well with customers and build up a regular clientele.
- Can you tell me about all the serving or customer service experience you have?
