First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tia.
Care Coordinator
My interview with Tia was a letdown. It felt disorganized and unclear from the start. Instead of a normal chat about my background, the first part was three mock calls with minimal direction. They didn't explain their methods, what they wanted, or what success looked like, making it feel like I was just guessing. The second part was regular behavioral questions, which was better, but the earlier part had already soured the experience. It's hard to do well without context or tools, and I don't think it really shows what someone can do. The whole thing was unnecessarily stressful and not a good way to interview.
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated problem-solving skills?
- Describe a time you had to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Give an example of a situation where you had to adapt to a change in plans.
Practice Manager
The interviews were really draining. I went through 4 separate interviews, each lasting 30 minutes. In almost every interview, I was speaking with 1-2 different people. A lot of the interviewers asked the same 'Tell me about a time when you..' questions and also the same 'Hypothetical Scenario' questions because they didn't seem to communicate with each other. It was frustrating and monotonous. The HR person seemed lost when I didn't give the expected answers. The whole vibe felt pretentious, arrogant, and smug, like they think they're world-savers and you need to be perfect to join them. It felt very cult-like.
- In your third interview, they asked about your leadership processes and the outcomes you achieved, with no questions about hands-on experience.
Intern
The interview process was good and very friendly. They took my interview calmly and the questions were of a good difficulty level, not too hard. Overall, it was a very good experience and I enjoyed it.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What is your motivation for wanting to work here?
- What are your plans for the future?
Software Development Engineer
I was contacted by Tia. I initially declined because I thought I wasn't a fit, but they insisted I was, so I decided to go for it. The process had a lot of rounds, around 10 in total, including behavioral, recruiter chats, technical assessments, and product demos. There were quite a few reschedules, which I accommodated. I did really well on the easy tech interview, and the systems design questions were fairly straightforward. My background in health and EHR integrations, plus my experience with all their tech stack, made me a strong candidate. Despite passing the interviews and weeks of communication, including rescheduled ones, I never got a response after being told I would hear back (this was about a month ago). It seems like the company is disorganized and not in a great position to hire right now. It appeared that interviewers weren't aware of what other interviewers had asked or what was happening within the company.
- Discuss the API challenge.
- How would you approach solutions design?
- Can you give a product demo?
