First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Thyme Care.
Business Development
Applied online and then had interviews with the hiring manager and CPO. The scope of the role changed, and I no longer met the new criteria. The team was really great and considerate, handling the communication really fairly.
- Can you share a time you decided to sunset a product?
Patient Coordinator
I applied for the Practice Coordinator role at Thyme Care on June 29. On July 10th, they sent me a link to complete a pre-recorded video interview where I had to answer some thoughtful and relevant questions. Each question had a 2-minute time limit, and I could only re-record my answer once. It was a bit pressured but fair. I've submitted the interview and am waiting to hear back. Sharing the 8 questions I was asked to help others prep.
- Do you have experience in telehealth healthcare startups or assisting members? Do you work against specific metrics in telehealth?
- Describe a major job change you experienced and how you adapted, detailing the steps you took.
- Give an example of a difficult conversation with a member/patient, how you handled it, and the skills you use for such conversations.
People Team
This is a pretty new company and it really shows on the recruiting side. It felt like amateur hour with the recruiter I worked with - they barely communicated and sent emails missing key info. I had to look up interviewers on LinkedIn to figure out who they were and what they did. Everyone I spoke with was nice, but the recruiting team seriously needs to improve their communication.
- How do you communicate with multiple groups?
Care Partner
I've been in touch with Thyme care for a month and a half since applying. The lack of response, organization, and info was unacceptable and disappointing, especially from a company I wanted to work for. They asked me to record a video, then I had an initial interview, and then they ghosted me for three weeks. My inbox was flooded with emails asking about my availability over and over. I kept asking for a clear timeline, but nobody answered. I was scheduled for a TWO hour interview during lunch, so I asked to change it. This was my third interview, and they wanted three more! I reached my breaking point when the interviewer kept asking about a Spanish script that I was never provided and never mentioned before, which was needed for the role play. The interviewer proceeded anyway, making me uncomfortable. The interviewer couldn't answer questions about team size, hiring numbers, training, or software. What kind of employee are you looking for with this dismissive behavior? The role is complex, and this approach is wrong. You're losing potential and great candidates. Also, fewer companies ask for references because they don't prove much. Future companies make it easier for candidates. My experience made me never want to follow this company again, which is sad for your reputation. Also, $24/hourly for an experienced bilingual professional is a joke. STAY AWAY!
- Can you role play in Spanish, even though you have no script and no idea what I'm talking about?
