It was a really good interview, better than I expected. The questions were pretty standard for this kind of role, keeping things on track. The interviewer was super nice and made me feel really comfortable. She was really friendly and tried to keep the chat relaxed and interesting. This made it easier to talk without feeling nervous. She was professional but also genuinely warm, wanting to make the interview a good and useful experience. All in all, the good structure and the friendly chat made it a great experience.

I had a video panel interview with three Executive Directors. They started with introductions and then gave a clear outline of the interview flow and expectations. The interview was behavioral. They asked about my experience related to the job description. About a week later, I had an in-person interview on-ground with an F/S member who asked similar questions.

Went through 3 interviews with multiple people, nice folks but asking salary expectations upfront would have been better. Got to the end and my direct supervisor said HR thought I didn't have enough experience, so they weren't sure about offering the job. Then, my potential supervisor called with a verbal offer. I mentioned I had other offers and was open to negotiation, but never heard back. Instead, got an automated email saying I declined. Didn't even get to negotiate. Could have been avoided if HR was involved early on, or maybe I shouldn't have interviewed if they felt I lacked experience.

I applied online with my resume and cover letter. Then, I got an email to set up the first video interview on Zoom with a panel of staff. It lasted about an hour and we talked about job expectations, challenges, and what experience would make someone successful. After that, I had a final in-person interview on campus with the program lead to see if I was a good fit and to discuss how we'd work together and how I could help with the project/program.
