Growth Marketing Analyst
So I had a quick call with the recruiter first, and they were cool with moving me forward. Then I met with the hiring managers. They hit me with some behavioral questions and also threw some math problems at me via zoom. After that, I had another chat with someone from HR, and it was all behavioral stuff. I figured that was pretty much it, maybe one more interview tops. But nope, they called again and wanted me to do a presentation for a case study. Honestly, if they're gonna ask for an assignment like this, it should be way earlier. I already had two other offers by then and was kinda questioning if I even wanted to do this assignment. The task was to come up with a new paid marketing strategy, including who to target, the budget, and how to measure success. At that point, I just decided to go with the other offers and pulled my application.

Copy Manager
I had a similar experience to what was described. I had one nice interview and then was sent a pretty extensive copy test. They gave me a couple of days to turn it in, which is standard. It's not hard if you know the brand, but they wanted me to ideate a brand new product and create all new copy for it, plus write a blog post about it. Their blog doesn't have product-focused posts, so just thinking of what to write was a long process. They could have given existing products and topics to write about for the sake of time, especially since I have a full-time job. I submitted it and heard nothing. I kept following up with the recruiter and got excuses about the team being busy with workshops, then they said they were focused on hiring a new VP and would circle back in a month. I followed up again and the recruiter no longer works there. Her away message stated she wouldn't be working there three days after my last follow-up. I like the brand and their products, but this was an absurd waste of time. I can't imagine going through the full process mentioned below. Ask for money before doing that insane copy project. It suggests pure chaos behind the scenes. Good luck.

Product Development
I applied online and HR reached out. I had three interviews and was given a project brief to complete. After a month of interviews and project work, I noticed the team and company weren't very flexible. This became clear when I couldn't attend the final presentation due to an emergency. I sent two follow-up emails explaining my situation, but received no response, and was ultimately ghosted. This experience confirmed my initial impression that the company lacked flexibility and wasn't a good fit. I was relieved to accept another offer that better aligned with my values, and I'm glad I didn't share my ideas that could have been exploited by this team.

Marketing Director
The recruiter who did the initial screening was really nice and fantastic; this company appears to have a great team and a lot of growth potential, but they were firm on needing someone with prior beauty industry experience, and wouldn't consider candidates without it.
