I had a first call with a senior UX Consultant who asked about my design process, specifically how I start working on applications and conduct user research like empathy mapping with real users. They also presented a scenario about a banking app that wasn't doing well and asked how I'd attract users. This lasted about an hour. After that, I was given a take-home assignment to design a car driver-friendly, hands-free app similar to Google Maps with voice commands. I submitted the assignment which included a Business Architect Diagram, User flow, Persona, and Mobile wireframe. It's been about a month since I submitted, and I haven't heard back or received any feedback, even after trying to contact HR and the interviewer. It feels like they might have just wanted free work and my ideas to improve their product. My advice to others is to be careful about sharing your thoughts on their product during the process.

The interview process with Thoughtworks was great. It started with a phone interview with a recruiter who explained the role and next steps. Then, I had a behavioral interview with an Experience Designer (XD) for about an hour. They asked a lot of questions about my past experiences, problem-solving, and teamwork. The interviewer was engaging and made me feel comfortable. After that, I had a technical interview with a design challenge. Two senior XDs conducted this and focused on how I approach design problems, collaborate, and turn user needs into solutions. The challenge was interesting, and the interviewers gave guidance and checked in to ensure I was comfortable.

I applied on the website. If my CV passed, they sent me a homework assignment to complete in one week. Then, I had a video interview with three designers where we discussed the homework.
