Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Thoughtworks.
Business Analyst
Had a great interview experience. They responded quickly and gave feedback on time after each interview stage. The interviews themselves were really engaging, with very smart and prepared people who asked questions that were challenging but fair. I especially enjoyed the cultural interview.
- Could you describe how you validate requirements?
- What are your specific responsibilities concerning requirement clarification?
- How do you determine when a requirement is complete?
Business Analyst
The interview process involved two rounds of interviews. They asked behavioural questions about my past experiences as a business analyst and how my experience and values align with the company's. There were also some technical questions and diversity and inclusion questions.
- What is your understanding of user stories?
- Can you tell me about your past experience as a business analyst?
- How do your personal experiences and values match those of our company?
Business Analyst
I had my first interview with the Thoughtworks recruitment team for a Business Analyst position in Singapore. The recruiter and I spoke for about 45 minutes, and they seemed pleased with my application, saying they would get back to me about the next interview's timeslots. However, a few days later, I received an automated rejection email without any explanation. This is quite unprofessional and not what I expect from Thoughtworks. Please improve your process to avoid leaving candidates waiting without information.
- Could you tell me about the projects you have worked on?
- What is your experience with being the sole Business Analyst on a project?
- Can you discuss your understanding and application of prioritization techniques?
