First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Thornburg Investment.
Director
It was an all-day thing with a bunch of interviews with different teams. I talked to people at all sorts of levels, from developers up to the CEO. They didn't ask a ton of technical stuff, it was mostly about my general work ethic and cultural fit.
- Could you share details about your background?
- Could you share details about your education?
- Could you share details about your professional experience?
Inside Sales
There were two interviews. The first was a standard Q&A, nothing too intense. The second involved giving a short presentation about an investment product, typically Income Builder. This second part was mainly to see how polished and good at presenting you are, rather than testing your deep knowledge of the product.
- Be ready for questions that subtly probe your personality.
- Be personable but avoid oversharing personal details.
Data Analytics Engineer
I had a one-hour screening call with a technical recruiter and the hiring manager. The next step was supposed to be a technical interview, but I didn't get selected to move on to that second round.
- Tell me about your experience in the asset management industry.
Associate
The interview process was friendly and thorough. It seems like a great work environment with a lot of room to grow. You can do trading, investment management, or software engineering.
- Can you describe your past work experience?
