First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Thompson Safety.
Account Executive
I applied online via LinkedIn and then drove an hour for three in-person interviews. The third round involved spending half the day on a ride-along with a salesperson. After that, I heard nothing back.
- Why do you want to work here?
Purchasing Specialist
They plan on 4 interviews but then they ghost you and don't tell you if you got the job. 4 interviews is too many, more than 2 is overkill when you don't even get a response.
- Can you share your previous work experience?
- What is your educational background?
- Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
Sales Manager
This was a pretty thorough interview process. I talked to everyone from the managers of both locations to the CEO/President of the company. They also had me do a field ride along with a sales rep to see what a typical day looks like.
- What makes you a strong candidate for our company?
Account Executive
Overall a very dry interview with very basic questions. I’ve already went through one screener interview and was confused on why I was going through another very similar one. Even if I did get the job, I feel like this interview was a waste of time
- What motivates you to pursue a career in sales?
- Could you describe your current professional activities?
- What is your interest in working for Thompson and Safety?
