Got an email a few days after applying, then went in for an in person interview. It was about 45 minutes, had a good conversation. Then they asked me to come in to shadow the hiring manager two days later. I thought I was just shadowing her, but it turned out to be another interview, which I adapted to on the spot. A week later, they let me know they hired someone else, saying they found a candidate with more hands-on experience.

I met with the onboarding specialist and the Regional Admin Manager when I first got there. They asked me some questions about my past work experience, up until I applied for this position. Then, they went into a lot of detail about the company, its mission, and the specifics of the job. It wasn't a quick interview; they seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me and understanding my motivations for wanting to work there. After they interviewed me and asked their questions, I had the opportunity to ask them some of my own. They concluded by saying they'd call me to let me know about the job offer. They did call back soon after.

So, it was a 2-part interview thing. First, we just met and chatted about why I wanted to work there and what they expected. We also talked about scheduling, benefits, and training. Then, the second part was all about the pay and if they were gonna hire me.

It was a smooth interview. The office manager knew the right questions to ask and made me feel both comfortable and capable in my responses. Thompson often does a 'working interview' so you can experience the job before they make an offer. I liked that because you get a sense of what the job is like.
