First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Thompson Creek Window Co..
Sales Representative
I really enjoyed the interview process, it was well-structured and gave me a great sense of the company culture. I want to say thank you to Tim Shanty for being transparent and engaging in the interview process. I appreciated the clear communication, and the in-depth, thoughtful questions allowed me to better understand the company’s goal.
- Why should we hire you as a sales representative working for Thompson Creek?
Marketing Data Analyst
The hiring manager reached out to me on LinkedIn for the marketing data analyst role. After I applied, I went through three interviews. They seemed to really want to fill the position fast. My last interview went great, but there was a long wait for feedback. They said I'd hear back in two days, but it took two weeks to find out I didn't get the job. They didn't say why.
- What made you want to apply for this job?
HR Business Partner
I applied online via LinkedIn and Blair Doran replied super fast via email, which was impressive. We set up a phone interview. I felt it went well, and Blair said I'd hear back in 2-3 business days. Sadly, I never heard anything, even after following up. This is bad HR practice; not replying is rude, especially since I've done recruiting before. It gave me a peek into how their HR department works.
- Tell me about your previous work experience.
Project Coordinator
The interview process started with a 20 minute phone chat with HR. Following that, I had an in-person interview with the department manager, an HR rep, and two other department managers. During this meeting, we talked about my past job experiences and I discussed some of my accomplishments and the challenges I faced in each role, emphasizing how they relate to this specific position.
- Can you describe a time you handled a difficult customer or problem?
