First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Thompson Coburn.
Intern
The interviews weren't too tough. First, there was an HR interview, then interviews with managers. Two interviews happened back-to-back, each lasting 30 minutes.
- Can you tell me about yourself and explain your interest in the firm?
Associate Attorney
Started with a screener interview, and then there were 4 more interviews. They were looking for people who are friendly and know the firm. Team players and people with a connection to the city are preferred.
- Why are you interested in working at this firm?
Information Security Manager
I went through 3 interviews. First was a chat with an HR person on Teams. Then, I had a meeting with the vCISO, also on Teams. The last interview was with a panel, which included the CIO. I didn't really feel like the people on the panel, besides the CIO, were very engaged. It didn't seem like a great place to work.
- What would your supervisor say about you if she were drunk?
Associate
The interview process was structured and everyone I met was friendly. The entire process lasted about a month. They required a resume and a writing sample. I interviewed with HR and then several attorneys at the firm, which was followed by an interview lunch.
