First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ThirdLove.
Fashion Designer
It was a three stage review. First two with recruiters, then with one of the head designers. The first two were pretty straightforward and simple and the third interview was more about what the company offers and my experiences as a fashion designer.

Director of Product Management
Applied then was set up to speak with the head of recruiting. Had about a 30 min phone call with her where she had me go over my experience. Next step was another call with the interim manager. Following that I was asked to complete a project and come in to meet the team in person. Some of the team is based overseas and the connection was difficult at times, but overall it was straight forward conversations with everyone. The office was also nice and has an open feel to it. I thought the interview went well, but I never received any follow up from the head of recruiting for weeks. Then she kept giving me bland responses that the team hadn't come to a decision yet. This went on for 3-4 weeks and after I followed up requesting a final decision I received a call saying that I should proceed with interviews with other companies. All in all, it was a fairly easy process but very poor communication which resulted in a lot of wasted time. Advice for recruiting, give your candidates timely feedback as respect.

- Which product management tools are you familiar with?
Brand Manager
I began my application in early May and had two initial phone conversations. The first was with an HR representative who unfortunately missed our scheduled time due to an error in her calendar. The second was with my prospective manager. Following these calls, I was invited for an in-person meeting involving three individuals: two from the marketing department and the CEO. A few weeks later, I was asked to return to meet with the head of design. However, instead of a formal meeting, I joined the team for a casual lunch. After this, there was a two-week period of silence before I received a phone call informing me that I had not been selected for the role. This entire process felt incredibly drawn out; I was constantly chasing the HR department for updates, and they repeatedly assured me I'd hear back by the end of each week, a cycle that continued for three months.
- Can you summarize yourself in just three words?
- In your opinion, who is ThirdLove's primary target audience?
Technical Designer
Got an email from the co-founder, who then sent me to a recruiter. Had two phone interviews: one with the recruiter and another with my potential direct manager. After that, I had to answer three questions in detail and prepare a presentation for the next stage, which was the onsite interview. During the onsite, I gave my presentation, measured a bra, and showed them my portfolio. I also met with two people I'd be working with, even though they weren't on the design team. They asked similar questions and invited me to ask them questions too. About two weeks later, I got a call with a job offer.
- Can you walk me through the technical design stages you've used in previous roles?
- What qualities do you believe are essential for a technical designer to possess?
- What's motivating your decision to seek a new opportunity at this time?
