Behavioral Technical Presentation

I sent in my application in the fall of 2017. It was actually fun to do, and I got to be creative. Then I had a phone call with the Director of Operations, and after that, another phone call with the Director of Member Experience. We realized the job I was applying for then wasn't the best fit for my skills, but they kept my resume for other chances. I reached out again in December and went in for an in-person interview in January 2018 with the Senior Vice President of Operations. The office itself is open-concept with bright, lively colors and a modern feel. Everyone there was really friendly. I liked that music was playing all over the office, which helped me relax a bit. The interview process was pretty simple, with a mix of normal questions and some unique ones. It felt very back-and-forth, and the management team seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me and making sure we were a good match. I asked about the Glassdoor reviews because I always do my research before changing jobs. I found out that the company culture has been changing over time. I was happy that the executive team really cared about making sure I was a cultural fit before offering me the job. What convinced me about the company was that they took the negative feedback people posted online and started making the culture and work environment a top priority. Coming from a really bad work situation, I was relieved to see the team was actively working to fix the problems that came up. I've been here for almost a month now, got a promotion, and I'm still really happy to be working here. I love the team, the work atmosphere, and my job. I plan to share an update in a review when I've been here for 90 days. I hope I'm still just as excited then.

I had a chat with the CEO directly, no HR was involved, it was a super straightforward interview. The interview was mostly about the company itself, they went over the company, the role, the department, and how the club operates. They also gave me a sense of what a typical day in this position would be like. They also explained the bonus structure that could be earned each month if the department hits its sales targets.

I had a phone interview with the HR Director, and two heads of departments. They were very professional and kind. Asked great questions. I had a follow up interview with the Director of my department, and spoke with him for over an hour. The HR Director followed up the following week.

The hiring process was straightforward and well-organized. I had two video interviews within a week, and also completed an online test. About ten days later, I received a job offer. They kept in touch throughout, and the whole thing was well-managed.
